6-Year-Old Killed In I-84 Crash

A 6-year-old chid was killed during a car crash on I-84 when the driver lost control and slammed into a wood sound barrier.

Connecticut State Police said a 6-year-old Jayden Caraballo of East Hartford, was killed around 1 p.m. Monday between exit 58 and exit 59.

According to police, Banis Claros, also of East Hartford and the child's mother, was driving eastbound on I-84 when the Toyota 4-Runner veered off the right side of the roadway.

Claros was transported to Hartford Hospital for examination. Caraballo died at the scene.
